What is microblading?
Microblading (eyebrow tattoos or 3-D Brow) is a relatively new, manual method that has been quite common in Singapore and Malaysia. Recently this method has become popular in the United States. Microblading is considered to be a permanent tattoo that uses a very fine blade to deposit pigments into the epidermis that mimics the growth of your already existing hair and creates bolder and natural-looking brows. Microblading is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows.
People suffering from alopecia, trigonometrical or any other condition that causes hair loss benefit greatly from Microblading, as well as people who simply aren’t happy with their eyebrows. The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow color and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into them.
Explain the procedure
Investing an hour or two of your time can enhance your beauty for years to come. The procedure is split into 2 appointments, which are 4-6 weeks apart to allow for the healing process to complete. The initial procedure will take from 60 to 90 minutes, and your second appointment takes 30-60 minutes.
To get the best results, make sure you are very healthy 72 hours before and after your appointment. Also, avoid alcohol, aspirin/ibuprofen and one week before stop taking the following supplements: Vitamin E, B6, Omega 3, Gingko Biloba, St. John’s Wort (they contribute to thinning the blood and may affect anaesthetic efficacy). You may resume taking your vitamins 72 hours after your procedure.
What are the results?
The results are a natural, flawless, fuller looking brow. Initially, the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over a two-week period. It is absolutely crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment. The results of this treatment can last anywhere from 11 to 18 months, depending on different factors affecting the procedure. However, a touch up once a year is recommended to retain the shape and saturation of pigment.
